AKL Business

Lounge report: Qantas Business, AKL

Posted on August 27, 2022August 27, 2022 by Scott

Details:

Date: August 2022

Airport: AKL – Auckland International Airport.

Title: Qantas Auckland Business Lounge

Location:  International terminal

Airline/Alliance: Qantas, Oneworld.

Access: Qantas, Oneworld & partner business class passengers; Qantas/Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald FF booked into any class on a Oneworld airline

Summary:

It may be rather small, but Qantas Auckland business lounge is better than many in Australia. An oasis of calm during my visit, if only Qantas sydney lounge was this relaxing.

Despite its size there’s plentiful seating available mostly in groupings of 4. Natural tones are in play in this comfortable lounge and I found the staff super friendly on my visit.

AKL seats

A coffee station with “barista” made coffee was available up one end of the lounge with the food station roughly in the middle of the space.

The food selection was quite limited, mostly ingredients for toasted sandwiches, along with a few cold dishes such as yogurt, fruit salad, or chia pudding.

AKL food

Alcoholic beverages were the usual spirits and mixers along with a choice of Heineken or Steinlager beers.

WiFi download speed was incredibly fast at 238 Mbps. A 6 seat business centre was available for use.

AKL Speedtest

Bathrooms were clean and well presented, something that cannot be said for the tired Melbourne business lounge. I only stuck my head inside the shower rooms and they looked small, but clean and functional.
